Essex Bank has donated $10,000 in honor of Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau’s 40th anniversary. The nonprofit organization helps the youth of Chester, Deep River, and Essex, addressing juvenile justice, crisis intervention, child welfare, mental health, positive youth development, and recreation. With this donation, the Bank supports the efforts of Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau to provide childcare assistance to ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families, which comprise over 20% of the area’s population.
Essex Bank is eager to assist with Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau’s mission. President & CEO Diane Arnold comments, “It is no secret that to maintain a healthy and connected community, we must always invest in the younger generation. That’s why the Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau is so important to us. We hope that this donation will help the bureau provide local families with the help they need.” Essex Bank thanks the state of Connecticut for enabling this contribution via the Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program.
